Laburnum Primary School is delighted to congratulate our pupils on their exceptional outcomes this summer. This year, we have achieved our best ever results, with very significant improvements across all areas of learning. Not only have our outcomes improved dramatically, but they are also well above the national average, demonstrating the strength of our school community and the success of our approach to high-quality teaching and learning.

Highlights from Our 2025 Results

95% of pupils passed their Phonics Screening Check
(National average in 2024: 80%)
Our youngest learners have made an outstanding start in reading, thanks to focused early phonics teaching.

42% of pupils achieved full marks in the Multiplication Tables Check
The average score was 23 out of 25, significantly above the national average of 20.6.
(National average full marks in 2024: 34%)
This highlights our strong emphasis on number fluency and mathematical confidence.

63% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined
(National average 2025: 62%)
A strong performance that places us above the national average and shows great consistency across core subjects.
