Geography: Making sense of the world.
Children will develop their geographical skills through studies of their environment. The school, immediate locality, and different localities provide a rich source of interest and this will be extended throughout their years at Laburnum. Work is designed to provide a growing awareness of geographical facts and the development of geographical concepts. As the children move through the school they will develop an understanding of the wider world through map work, being able to name continents and oceans. In KS2, they will start to look at other parts of the world and consider how they are similar and different to Sandy.
